Batch Control

Enter a name in Batch control name box, eg dailyChanges.
Click on the Normal button, it will change to red on white with the name Batch. This is now in recording mode.
Define operations. eg Select a folder in the local window, ensure the remote window is at the correct position and now press the upload button. Note, no upload takes place, the operation is added to the batch dailyChanges. Now find 2 folders you wish to synchronize, select them add press the Synchronize button. Again the operation is only recorded. Define a few more operations. When you have completed the definition for this batch, click on the red write Batch button which will return to Normal indicating that the recording mode has finished.

With dailyChanges still in the name text box click on Inspect, the operations making up the batch are shown. This dialog allows you to remove operations. You can add further operations by ensuring dailyChanges is still selected and click on Normal as described above.

With dailyChanges still selected and the recording button in Normal mode the batch is run by pressing Run .

If the Batch name box is empty and you click on inspect, then the different batches are listed.

Converting Beta Buckets to new format

The Beta version used a file/key named DirectoryDirectoryDirectory.dir to record a directory eg dir1/dir2/DirectoryDirectoryDirectory.dir. A more suitably named marker has been defined dir1/dir2/. To convert a Sissle Beta bucket to the new format, enter the top level of the bucket, right click, in the menu which appears select Tools and then Convert Folder. Sissle will search for all zero sized files dir1/dir2/DirectoryDirectoryDirectory.dir and replace them with dir1/dir2/ also zero length. No real files are touched.

Sissle will work with the old marker but it is a poorly chosen name. All new buckets will use the new format as with any new directories. It is a one of operation and is recommended.

DataBase

Sissle now has an integrated Sqlite database. Any new buckets created by Sissle are added to the database.
Buckets created by the Beta version of Sissle can be added to the database. It is recommended to first convert the bucket to the new format as described above.

The old bucket is added to the database by clicking Options / Recover DB this opens a dialog showing all buckets and associated data. Select the old bucket and click OK. Sissle will now perform a once of read of the contents of the bucket and create a DataBase for the bucket

Options relating to DataBase
1. Options /Transfer Options / Use DB is selected by default, this means that operations are based on the DB contents.
2. In the right hand corner of Sissle there is a button labeled S3 or DB this controls how Sissle displays bucket listings.
Note Sissle can operate on the DB for operations but display listings from S3 or alternatively from the DB.

Simple Stuff

Note status bar shows number of items and total size of items in this directory.

Pause button, in the Transfer Status window will Pause the current set of operations. It will allow current transfers to complete. As the transfers are multithreaded this typically means that up to 10 files must complete their transfer before Sissle is in a full Pause mode .

Right click inside Sissle to enter quick menu mode.
